Jiota Roumoudi
My teaching style: I teach mostly powerful vinyasa classes, with the aim to build up strength, physically and mentally. The classes are dynamic allowing body and mind to flow with the breath. For me this type of classes turned out to be the best way to disconnect and prepare for a deep meditation. Since I love backbends, it is very likely, that I will have some of them in my classes.
About me: It will probably take me my lifetime to figure out who I really am and there is also this bias of wishful thinking and other people’s perception, but I strongly believe in the principle of ‘live and let live’. So I try to live by my values and stand with my beliefs from a place without judgement, while at the same time I stay curious for other people’s views and opinions.
Growing up in a Mediterranean household I can’t help but being a tiny bit superstitious, although I actually should know better.
Favorite Destination: Somewhere sunny.
Favorite Yoga Pose: Urdhva Dhanurasana (wheel pose)
I am inspired by: Authenticity; for example people, when authentic, seem to have this attracting aura of being in total balance with themselves.
Most memorable yoga experience: My first time in headstand. That moment felt so empowering that from then on I put my absolute trust into yoga and the positive effects it has on body and mind.
