Fran Rieder
Whats your yoga style? Focused, playful, sometimes challenging. I aim to encourage students to embody the ideas of yoga philosophy and to cultivate a peaceful, joyful state of mind. I love to include balancing flows and to focus on opposite forces in the yoga practice (e.g. working the muscles in one part of the body while softening other body parts, staying steady in a strong asana, but releasing tension in the face, the forehead, the mind…)
About me: I grew up in Vienna and carry some of its vibe and humour with me all the time. I am a lifelong learner, enthusiastic about discovering new things. Practicing and sharing yoga is one of my priorities and you will find me on my mat practicing at yogaloft several times a week. Since the start of my yoga journey in 2010, I discovered different yoga styles and am ever again impressed by the transformative power and the effects of yoga practice.
My spirit animal is: I think it’s the crow
I am inspired by: My dear yoga teachers and all the people who are truly interested in supporting others. People who value younger and older people and help them to grow instead of judging others for superficial reasons. People who have a sense of possibilities in addition to their sense of reality, who find joy in developing new ideas even if outer conditions put stones in their way. People who put their hearts and dedication in everything they do and master the fear of being disappointed or rejected. I truly hope I can be there for these people when they ever need a little support themselves.
One thing you have achieved that you are really proud of: Being fluent in French and Luxembourgish
